The store at the intersection of Concord and Huron Avenues is the original Hi-Rise Bread Co. Patrons can see all of our breads and pastries being made in this large, high-ceilinged, open kitchen space. It’s a special neighborhood meeting place and very popular with kids, too, who love watching the bread-making process. The Observatory Hill store offers the full Hi-Rise menu, as well as dinners-to-go Monday through Friday, frozen dinner items, and a selection of wines, liquors, and beers.
We opened the Mass Ave store in 2011, the same year Rene’s daughter Lucie was born. What makes the Mass Ave store distinctive is the focus on coffee. We have an amazing program that features Counter Culture Coffee, as well as guest coffee roasters from around the country, and we work very hard to ensure a diverse and interesting selection for our customers! The Mass Ave store has a slightly different offering of sandwiches; see menus for selection. Jams, granola, and bagged cookies are all available.
